ABOUT ME

Rikki Jenkins, B.S, IBCLC, CBE, Doula

My main goal is for you to be informed, feel secure, and supported throughout your pregnancy, birthing, and feeding journey whatever that may look like for you. Everyone's journey is different and that is why I believe that providing non-judgmental, unbiased, all inclusive support is essential.

Hi! I'm Rikki Jenkins, I am a wife, mother to a spirited & fun child, & two fur babies! As a lactation consultant, childbirth educator, and doula, I have a passion for supporting families through one of the most sacred times in their life of bringing new life into the world. As someone who has been through pregnancy, birth, and navigating the ups and downs of infant feeding, I truly believe that all birthing people and families deserve support through their journey in parenthood.

MY APPROACH

Taking a lactation class and a childbirth class during pregnancy is crucial. Many believe that their provider will teach them all they need to know about birth and infant feeding. The truth is, there's simply not enough time to do this! With a childbirth class, you are able to learn the unknown, dispel myths, and have a more empowered birthing and feeding time. When it comes to breastfeeding, it is not one size fits all. Every family is different and so are their needs. This is why it is so important to schedule a visit with a lactation specialist to receive support that is specific to your situation.

My qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Maternal Child Health and Human Lactation with an emphasis in Social Justice

  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)

  • Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC)

  • Birth, Postpartum, and Infant Care Doula
